My Sweetheart!

This is the many faces of my sweetheart!
Ron goofing around when I got the camera out!
Ron and I were married on February 7, 1987 in Veyo, Utah by Bishop Brent Snow!

Ron went to Dental School at Loyola University of Chicago from June 1988 to June 1992.  He graduated with his DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery).

He joined the United States Public Health Service August 15, 1992 as a Commissioned Officer in the Indian Health Service.  First duty station was Pine Ridge Indian Hospital, Pine Ridge, South Dakota where he served for 2 1/2 years.

Then moving on to theAnnette Island Service Unit at the Metlakatla Community Clinic in Metlakatla, Alaska. He was stationed there for approximately 2 years.

Leaving Alaska he transferred to the Santa Clara Serice Unit just south of Espanola, New Mexico where he was stationed for approximately 2 years at the Santa Clara Pueblo Clinic.

Six and a half years into his career, with a new home less that one year old, we again moved.  He was transferred to the Stockbridge Muncee Health and Wellness Center in Bowler, Wisconsin.  Again we bought a house and decided that Gresham, Wisconsin was where we were going to grow old.

After approximately 3 years at Stockbridge Muncee, he again transferred, but the best part was that we didn't have to move.  His new duty station was 10 miles east of our house in Keshena, Wisconsin at the Menominee Tribal Clinic.  He has been at this duty station for a little more than 8 1/2 years, but it is not to be to stay in Wisconsin.

On December 13, 2010, he came home and said to me "I got a phone call today!".  I knew that we again were going to move and it felt right.  I knew that the Lord was behind us on this and that we would again put a house up for sale and move.

On February 18, 2011, he got word that he had been accepted to the University of Washington in Seattle to get his Masters in Pediatric Dentistry.  This is something that he has wanted to do for the past 19 years.

As of today, April 21, 2011 we have not recieved his new orders but we know that we will be moving to the Seattle area sometime in early June 2011 so that Ron can start school on June 20, 2011!  We know that we will only be in Seattle for two years while he is in school and then it is on to Browning, Montana for 4 years.  There's nothing like having the next six years planned out!

So many thing have been part of our lives in the past 24 years.  We have 5 beautiful children, yes even the boys are beautiful to me.

Nicole, age 21 is also married to a wonderful handsome young man.  Joseph we love you and we are so happy at how you fit into our family.  Nicole will also be the mother of our first grandchild November 2011! She is a student at BYU-I where she is studying Child Development.

Samuel, age 19 is serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in San Jose California and will be there until December 2012.

Telephone sale reps calling cell phones

OK, I probably shouldn't have done what I did but I couldn't resist!

Ron's cell phone rang yesterday afternoon and he was at work so I answered it! Of all people it was a telephone sales rep. I don't have to tell you how badly I dislike telephone sales reps and now they are calling cell phones! Well, the rep identified himself, asked if I was the lady of the house and proceeded to tell me that Mr. Fuller had last week requested some information on making extra money from home. I said "Okay?"

At this point I knew that this was a cold call where the telephone sales rep gets the number from a list and calls but no information has ever been requested. Sneaky way of trying to get people to buy something! So I decided to play along!

The rep said "Yes! Robert requested that we contact you and tell you about this great way to make money at home." I said "What? Will that man ever stop requesting things for me! Now he's requesting things from the grave!"

The rep said in a questioning tone "Ma'am ahh?" So I continued, letting my voice become almost tearful. "Robert has been dead for over a year and you tell me that he requested information for me!

The rep said again in a questioning manner, "Ahh ma'am?" So I again continued, "Thank you very much for bringing up memories of him!" I added a sigh and a whimper just to get to the man!

From the rep I got a very apologetic response, "Ma'am I am so sorry, I will have this number removed from any further calls from our company! Again ma'am I am truly sorry!"

I said "Thank you!" in a whiny voice. He said good bye and hung up! I laughed for such a long time after that.

When I told Ron what I had done, we both got a great laugh out of it and we probably won't get many more calls on that phone for a long time! Too bad that that phone number will be disconnected when we move to Seattle!

Selling the house!

Friday, the Coldwell Banker Realtor came and did a walk through of the house and got all the information needed to get the paperwork ready. Ron and I went and signed all the necessary papers on Saturday! Now we just need to have them come and take pictures both inside and outside then the house will be placed on the internet.

It is a bitter sweet feeling! We have lived in this house for 9 years and now we are selling something that we have put time and effort into fixing up and moving it from a 70's house into a more modern style!

We have lots to do between now and mid June! Many things to sell and many more things to either throw away or set aside to take with and cherish! It does feel good to get rid of things that when you find them you say "why do we still have this?" or "wow, I forgot we had this!"

The next grand adventure

We desided to start this blog to stay in touch with all of our many friends while we move in and through our next grand adventure!

Today, February 18, 2011, we received word that Ron had been accepted into the Pediatric Dental Residency at the University of Washington in Seattle. We will be moving some time in mid to late June to Seattle Washington to live for the next two years while Ron is in school! Then for the four years after that we will be stationed in Browning Montana at the Blackfeet Indian Hospital.

We now have to place the house (built in 1974) on the market and hope it sells in a reasonable amount of time. The truck (a 1992 Ford F-150), our camp trailer (a 2006 Fleetwood - sleeps 7) and Ron's motorcycle (a 2004 Kawasaki Vulcan 500LTD) all have to be sold also since we cannot take them with us! It is amazing how much stuff can be accumulated in 12 years of not moving around! We have so many things to go through and decide if we need to keep it!

We are very excited about this new adventure that we are about to embark upon!
